HI Married at first sight bride Martha Kalifatidis has criticized the idea that she is not paying her own way.
The 36-year-old, who lives at home with her parents, her partner Michael Brunelli and their young son Lucius, was doing a typical Instagram Q&A when a troll claimed she was mocking her mum and dad .
“Why don’t you and Michael pay it? Like the rest of the world,” asked the troll.
Kalifatidis posted the cruel taunt on her social media and said she was not living with her parents for financial gain.
“Our living arrangement has nothing to do with money. The sad thing is that you probably believe that we live with my parents to take advantage of the situation. This is the farthest thing from the truth,” she wrote.
“In reality, we enjoy each other. Living in a multigenerational home with my parents brings us closer, fosters mutual support, and creates a rich environment where wisdom and experience intertwine. It also brings happiness to my parents.”
The influencer added that she feels bad for the person who couldn’t see the benefits of living with her mom and dad, which aren’t about money.
Kalifatidis is one of Australia’s most successful influencers, having amassed over 700,000 followers on Instagram.
She also beat the odds and stuck with Brunelli, her reality TV match, with whom she was paired in Married at first sight in 2018.
The Melbourne native shares the usual influencer stuff, like photos of herself looking fabulous in activewear, but she also shares a lot about her family life.

Often, she films herself in the kitchen cooking food, disagreeing with her mother and doing the usual things of family life.

Sharing her daily life on TikTok, she has amassed over 250,000 followers.
A video of her arguing with her mother, Mary, about cleaning a cutting board garnered over four million views.
TikTok sparked a conversation about whether Kalifatidis should live with her mother.
“I think it’s time for you to go, Martha,” one person commented.
“Time to go out and buy your own cutting board,” suggested another.
“You really should leave. It’s over,” wrote one.
“I think people need to understand that this is a mother and daughter who know and live with each other. You can’t judge this from the outside,” someone else advised.
